Bloom Time: June-August. Planting: Plant rhizomes in muddy shallows. Found in the wettest of soils, it's a great aquatic/emergent plant to place in or near stream banks, lake shores, pond edges, etc. The flowers will attract native pollinators, the seeds are an important food source for waterfowl. This plant is a food source for puddle ducks and muskrats, with long sword-like leaves and large flower/seed heads (1-2”). The flowers are yellowish-white.
