Bloom Time: August–October (seed heads). Green to blue color way. Medium to dry soil moisture. Very drought tolerant once established. One of the most important native prairie grasses. Turns striking copper-orange in fall and provides nesting habitat for native bees. A native bunch grass that grows rapidly from June - August.
